As a young girl Dolores Wilson lived in both Europe and Japan with her family. Experiencing those two unique cultures had a profound effect on her future. She was fascinated by the intricate craftsmanship and art she encountered in both places. Her father was an architect and artist and both her parents encouraged her to learn as much as possible about the countries where they lived. The art, folk tales, stories and festivals enriched her imagination and sparked her interest in becoming an artist. Those times are still
an integral part of her life today.
Dolores now lives in a small town on the picturesque Western Slope of Colorado. She has been an artist for over thirty years working in a wide variety of mediums. Her murals grace the walls of private residences, businesses, and hospitals. She is a sculptor, illustrator, painter and teacher. It is her firm belief that just because we become adults we need not lose the magic and wonder of childhood.
